Top 10 Freebies at Walt Disney World

Posted · Add Comment

We all know that a Disney vacation can be expensive. I  always end up buying something, whether it’s a meal or a souvenir.  What if I told you there are several freebies at Walt Disney World?! I’m not kidding! There are many freebies available at Walt Disney World. Here are my top 10 free items/experiences:

1. Celebration buttons

These buttons commemorate your trip to Walt Disney World. There are buttons for 1st visit, birthday, engagement, anniversary, and park celebrations. Grab an “I’m celebrating” button and write down your own reason for celebrating. We usually grab the “I’m celebrating” buttons and write down something silly like “I’m celebrating because it’s Saturday!”

2. Park maps

A park map is a great way to remember your Disney vacation! Grab as many as you want to share with your friends, or use in your scrapbook.

3. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Spell Cards at Magic Kingdom

This interactive game can only be played in Magic Kingdom. Collect the free spell cards during each visit to Magic Kingdom to use in the game, or as a souvenir.

4. Club Cool at Epcot

Quench your thirst at Club Cool. You can sample various kinds of soda from all over the world. Fair warning on the Beverly – it’s a little bitter!

5. Animal viewing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Get up close with animals at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can view the animals throughout the day. There is a unique nighttime viewing opportunity too! We’ve viewed the animals at night. It’s pretty incredible!

6. Cups of water

Don’t waste your money on bottled water. Head over to any quick service location or restaurant for a free cup of water. Grab as many as you want!

7. Leis at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

You don’t have to be a resort guest to receive your free lei! Stop by the front desk and ask for a lei. These leis are fake and not make with real flowers. The real leis cost money.

8. Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop at Disney Springs

Want a little chocolate? Stop into Ghirardelli to grab your free chocolate sample. It’ll be worth it!

9. World Showcase Crafts at Epcot

There are many locations throughout the World Showcase for kids to do crafts. We don’t have kids so we haven’t done the crafts ourselves. The stations always seem full with kids so it must be fun, right?!

10. Movies Under the Stars

Many resorts have an outdoor movie every night for free. Ask for a schedule at your resort. Don’t pay to see a movie at Disney Springs when you can see a free movie in the comfort of your resort!
